There are different kid’s friendly animal yoga poses that can be introduced to children like Boat pose (Dhanurasana); cobra pose (Bhujangasana); children can call the cobra pose as snake, swan, cobra; cat pose (Marjaryasana) as cat, tiger, lion, sheep to remember the names of the yoga poses, cow pose, bridge pose. These yoga poses are very helpful and it makes life fit and healthy. Children should need to discover the world through themself not by helping or telling them what to do, how it should be done in a better manner is not the optimal way. Rather provide them a loving, creative environment for them to know their own abilities and truth. When they will perform various animal poses they will know more deeply about the asanas and poses like Bhujangasana ask the children to imagine the snake and then practice by this way they will understand the poses nicely. Yoga and breathing techniques like forward Bending, Wide-legged standing forward bend, Rabbit pose, Thunderbolt pose, Side stretch pose, Plow pose, Resting pose, can help children to handle the pressures, workload and making the goals.

There are many yoga poses that help to control emotions like anger, fear, rage, melancholy, loneliness, sadness, annoyance, amusement, etc. At the age of adolescent children suffer from many mood swings. Alternate nostril breathing (nadi shodhan pranayam), standing forward bend ( uttanasana), Child pose(balasana), Head to knee forward bend (Janu shirasasana), cobra pose, corpse pose, are the yoga poses to control these types of emotions.
Yoga helps in improving body postures of a child-like kyphosis, bow legs, flat foot, scoliosis, knock knee, etc. For improving body posture different yoga can be performed like bow pose, cobra pose, cat pose, cow pose, tree pose, mountain pose.
